Important Note: Follow all cleaning and maintenance procedures listed in the Stryker 940 Cast Cutter Maintenance Manual & Operating Instructions.
Warning: Unplug the cast cutter before blade replacement, cleaning and maintenance. • Remove and clean the Blade Guard if necessary. Blade Guard does not need to be removed in order to replace the blade.
• Cast cutter blades can be changed and disinfected with standard disinfectants (including Isopropyl Alcohol) prior to each use.
- Use the Cast Cutter Blade Tool (provided with the cast cutter) or a 3/16" Hex Key Wrench to loosen the blade retaining nut. Turn nut counterclockwise until it stops turning. Remove the old blade and dispose safely.
- Place the new blade on the blade mount, slipping it over the blade retaining nut and posts. The posts should guide the blade into position. Pull the blade down behind the nut ensuring that all four posts have engaged the blade.
- Use the Cast Cutter Blade Tool (provided with the cast cutter) or a 3/16" Hex Key Wrench to tighten the blade retaining nut against the blade. Turn the nut clockwise ensuring all four posts are fully engaged.
- Ensure the blade is secure before each use. Note: Titanium nitride coated Cast Cutter Blades (TiN) (Part #STB045-9209) are used to cut both synthetic and plaster casting materials. Stainless steel Cast Cutter Blades (Part #STB043-9207) are used to cut plaster casting material only.
